Question 1

What does a truck dispatcher do?

Accepted Answer

A truck dispatcher searches for freight, communicates with brokers, negotiates rates, verifies load details and organizes the paperwork that follows a load. The goal is to keep the truck moving on freight that fits the carrier's equipment, lanes and schedule.

Question 2

How does IDEAL DISPATCH help owner-operators?

Accepted Answer

We take on the dispatch workload — load search, broker calls, rate negotiation, load verification and document organization — so the owner-operator can stay focused on driving while keeping control of the business.

Question 3

What equipment types do you dispatch?

Accepted Answer

Dry van, reefer, flatbed, step deck, hotshot, box truck, power only and straight truck.

Question 4

Do you force carriers to accept loads?

Accepted Answer

No. We present freight options that match your stated requirements. You decide which loads you accept.

Question 5

How are loads selected?

Accepted Answer

Loads are evaluated against your equipment, preferred lanes, timing, mileage, deadhead, broker reliability and revenue goals before they are presented to you.

Question 6

Do you negotiate rates with brokers?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Broker communication and rate negotiation are part of the dispatch service. We work to secure competitive rates and confirm the terms in writing.

Question 7

Can I choose my preferred lanes?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tell us where you want to run, where you would rather not, and how far from home you are willing to operate. We plan around it.

Question 8

Do you help reduce deadhead miles?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Before recommending a load we consider where it leaves you and what freight is realistically available in that market, and we work on the next move before the current load delivers.

Question 9

Do you handle rate confirmations and paperwork?

Accepted Answer

We review and organize rate confirmations, collect BOLs and PODs, and provide invoice and paperwork support. We do not provide accounting, legal, DOT compliance or factoring services.

Question 10

Can you dispatch small fleets?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We work with owner-operators and small fleets, and dispatch planning is coordinated across trucks based on each unit's equipment and preferences.

Question 11

How do I get started?

Accepted Answer

Submit the dispatch consultation form or call us. We'll go over your equipment, lanes, operating area and goals, then explain how we would support your operation.

Question 12

What are your dispatch fees?

Accepted Answer

Our dispatch pricing depends on the equipment, service level and carrier requirements. Contact us for current pricing.
